Synopsis:
“A rapturous, beautiful debut with a romance that seeps into you like a sizzling Georgia summer.” —Amber Hart, author of Before You
Wish You Were Here
One last summer before college on beautiful Tybee Island is supposed to help Sienna forget. But how can she? This is where her family spent every summer before everything changed, before the world as she knew it was ripped away.

But the past isn’t easily left behind. Especially when Sienna keeps having episodes that take her back to the night she wants to forget. Even when she meets the mysterious Austin Dobbs, the guy with the intense blue eyes, athlete’s body, and weakness for pralines who scooped her out of trouble when she blacked out on River Street.

When she’s with Austin, Sienna feels a whole new world opening up to her. Austin has secrets, and she has history. But caught between the past and the future, Sienna can still choose what happens now…
“A fabulous, fresh new voice in YA.” —Kay Lynn Mangum, author of The Secret Journal of Brett Colton

“This poignant, sweet romance gripped my heart from beginning to end.” —Jennette Green, author of The Commander’s Desire

I received an e-ARC from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. This fact in no shape or form affects my review. Except for the existence of the review itself. I received no compensation for this review in any way. This is my honest opinion of the work.

I thought this contemporary love story is adorable, even though it does deal with cheating. This is definitely a summer read. I basically read it in one sitting. Sienna's father died in a car accident and she has been traumatized by it ever since. Austin has his own issues happening and he's definitely the more interesting of the duo.

REWIND TO YOU is a dual POV that switches back and forth between Austin and Sienna. I'm pretty sure that Austin would be my kind of guy, but then again I have a massive book boyfriend harem, so that's not much of a surprise. He's charming and loyal. He's sweet under his tough persona. He's all muscle-y from being a football player and he rides a motorcycle. Totally Ri's type. Totally.

Anyways, I thought that Sienna should have finished things with her boyfriend the moment she started falling for another guy. I don't believe in cheating or having flings with other people. I value loyalty and so if I were in her position, I would have definitely ended things with the other guy before pursuing a relationship with the new guy. And considering what a tool her boyfriend is, I would have definitely been all over Austin.

I felt bad for all the shit that Sienna went through and how her mother demeans her little brother, who has ADHD and Bipolar disorder, sometimes. Her mother pretty much dictates her future and how if she didn't marry Kyle, she would marry the family friend's kid, Brian.

It progressed pretty predictably and it wasn't anything new or special. It's a great summer read and guilty pleasure read. And though there are definitely serious bits to the book, it's a fun read.

Happy Reading!

  1. I've seen this on other blogs, but it didn't catch my interest. (I don't like Kissing Couples Covers.) Cheating in novels doesn't bother me that much, but it depends on the characters and their circumstances. Lovely review!! :)

    1. Haha. I'm not particularly fond of kissing covers either. It's a little awkward to read in public when you have those kinds of books in hardcopy. (coughWhiteHotKisscough) Thank you so much! :)
