The TBR Tag!

So I was tagged the other day by my lovely friends, Dana from DanaSquare and Rachel from A Perfection Called Books in their brand new tag thing, the TBR tag in which we learn all about our own TBRs and other people's TBRs. My TBR is seriously out of control, probably not as bad as Dana's though. So let's get to the star of the tag, the QUESTIONS!

You can check out the original post over here on Dana's blog!

QUESTIONS!

How do you keep track of your TBR pile?

Mainly Goodreads and my planner. I write down all the ARCs I need to read and the release dates in my planner and just my general TBR on my goodreads shelf.

Is your TBR mostly print or ebook?

My TBR is mostly print. I love having physical copies of books. I like ebooks for travelling, because practicality, but I still love having a book in my hands to read. It doesn't bode well for my wallet in any way or form, but oh well. YOLO. (I hate myself for even saying that acronym.)

How do you determine which book from your TBR to read next?

I mostly use my Goodreads TBR to help me choose which books to buy next. I generally just choose whatever I feel like reading that's unread from my bookshelf. Or, I choose whatever ARC that needs to be read before the release date. I can pretty much get into whatever book I pick up as long as I'm into the synopsis.

A book that's been on your TBR the longest?

Probably the last book in the Artemis Fowl series. I love love love Artemis Fowl, but I just haven't read them in such a long time that I would probably have to re-read the entire series before I read the last one. Honestly, that's probably not going to happen because I have so many books that I need to read.

A book you recently added to your TBR?

Earth & Sky by Megan Crewe. I had the chance of meeting Megan Crewe when she visited the school
board office to talk about her book, since her book, THE WAY WE FALL was a White Pine book. She signed my copy of the sequel to THE WAY WE FALL, THE LIVES WE LOST. It's actually my first signed book, ever! I'm looking forward to picking up a physical ARC of it at WORD ON THE STREET, a book festival that happens in Toronto.

A book on your TBR strictly because of its beautiful cover.

A THOUSAND PIECES OF YOU. I mean. Have you seen that cover? It's so freaking gorgeous! I'm a sucker for pretty covers. If it's pretty and the synopsis is fab, I will make the excuse that I NEED it in my life. Even though I probs don't.

A book on your TBR that you never plan on reading.

1Q84 by Haruki Murakami. My best friend ,the Biffles, loves Haruki Murakami and I've bought several of them for her as gifts. I borrowed it from her once, and it's a freaking tome. I had it for several months and only read about 30 pages. I don't know if I'm ever going to get around to reading it.

An unpublished book on your TBR that you're excited for?

THE WINNER'S CRIME. Like. I can't even. I seriously can't. freaking. even. The Winner's Curse is probably in the top 2 books that I read this year. Seriously. I cannot freaking wait for the second book.
Other than that, the lovely Temple West's book, VELVET, is something that I'm pretty excited for. I'm pretty much in love with Adrian already with all the quotes that she's posted on Twitter.

A book on your TBR that basically everyone's read but you.

Scarlet by Marissa Meyer. I do own it. I got it for five bucks in hardcover. I just haven't gotten around to reading it yet.

A book on your TBR that everyone recommends to you.

Probably the entirety of the Grisha trilogy. I have read the first two, but I haven't gotten around to reading the last one yet. I'll probably get to it when I can find the last one for cheap or I come across it at the library.

A book on your TBR that you're DYING to read.

UM. ALL OF THEM. But basically Heir of Fire. My pre-order came in early, and I have basically stopped myself from reading it until I finish all of my September ARCs. I NEED TO READ IT.

How many books are on your Goodreads TBR shelf?

Unlike Dana, I don't have 1000+ books on my Goodreads TBR shelf. It's a measly 360. That's still a lot, but I'm glad that it's not the largest out there.

So those are my responses to the TBR Tag. Now here are the people I'm deciding to tag:

Karen from One More Page
Kaitlin from Reading Is My Treasure
Clarissa from Books Equal Awesomeness

Have fun and happy reading!
